Every sound in this kit was recorded directly from one of these eight instruments. None of them were designed to make music. They came from military-industrial factories — and that's exactly why they sound the way they do.
Soviet organ-bass synthesizer. Dense, layered low-end with a cold character completely absent from western synthesis.
Aviation electromechanical plant. Oscillators never designed for pitch stability — they drift, breathe, and live. Raw Soviet analog.
Formanta Radio Factory. Built for military communication. Filter so aggressive it distorts into harmonics no western synth produces.
Soviet consumer electronics synth. Unstable, gritty, textured — a product of surplus military components turned into oscillators.
From the same factory as the Polyvoks. Shares the aggressive circuit DNA — unstable tuning, harsh filter, unmistakable character.
East German industrial synthesizer. Thick, heavy, relentless. A different harmonic vocabulary than anything made in the West.
Built For Aircrafts.
Not For Music.
In the USSR, almost no factories were dedicated to musical instruments. Synthesizers were produced inside military-industrial facilities — built from the same components used in aircraft computers, radar systems, and missile hardware.
The result: instruments that tuned wrong, drifted constantly, and broke into overtones no western engineer ever designed. That instability is the sound. It cannot be replicated from a Moog, a Roland, or any preset bank.
